CrossFit 101 – How CrossFit is for EVERYONE

I get calls and emails all the time from people who want to try CrossFit but are intimidated. In fact, even many of our current Shawnee CrossFit clients told me they were intimidated by CrossFit before they came and tried it.

I completely understand, too! Most people have a misconception that CrossFit affiliates are full of these super-athletes that dominate workouts and chew on barbells for breakfast (we don’t). The reality is that we have athletes ranging from 15 to 65 years of age, at all levels of fitness, that are all doing the same workout.

How is this possible? Through the beauty of scaling. Scaling is what makes CrossFit safe and effective for both pro athletes and your grandmother. In the video, I explain one of the most crucial elements of CrossFit, scalability, and discuss when and how it should be used.
